What Now?

The news today has a central theme, TRUMP. It seems to be a daily, “What outrageous thing did he do yesterday or while I was sleeping?” The man is relentless in his pursuit of anything outlandish, the more cringeworthy the better. He certainly has heard by now that you can’t reduce prices 600% and yet he repeats such numbers as if they mean something. He seems to have found out that, when caught doing something stupid, lather, rinse, and repeat. If you put your stupidity on full display ignoring the obvious, and repeat it often enough, people seem to eventually think that you may be on to something nobody else has thought about.

Another question, why the continued interest in the Epstein files? Trump has held on to them long enough to have purged, redacted, altered, or otherwise found explanations for anything that might be in there. I think we can all agree that Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, were despicable people who did unspeakable acts in the company of others. The victims of their depravity all tell a similar credible story. With the “suicide” of Epstein, further explanations all become the subject of conjecture. Ms. Maxwell is now playing the extortion cards she still holds to get a better deal. Jeffrey held these same cards so his “suicide” becomes even more suspicious. Why would he end it when he too had leverage?
For Trump, the Epstein files are an inconvenience. Anyone who knows Trump’s lecherous past who believes nothing happened while Trump was present with Epstein, lives in a place where unicorns dance with leprechauns. The proof died with Epstein, and we can close the case when Ms. Maxwell is no longer a threat.
With all that said, anyone who hasn’t figured out what motivates Trump and, in whose interest, he is most invested, won’t read any of this with even a modicum of understanding. He is, after all, the most gorgeous individual ever created, with a mind so brilliant it can’t be tested with modern technology, who is healthier than a trained athlete, who can leap tall buildings in a single bound, and who, disguised as a humble leader of the free world, leads an never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way. Or was that just a comic book character? I get confused.
