I'm RFK Jr., Trust Me
I watched much of the testimony given by RFK Jr. to congress and was astounded by the breadth of ignorance on display. The man is delusional and seems to be suffering from his long-term drug use and poor health decisions. This man, who abused cocaine and heroin for over a decade and a half and claims a worm ate part of his brain, is now in charge of our nation’s health. What idiot put him in charge. Wait, I think I know this one.
Under questioning he said that he thought Donald Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for Operation Warp Speed (OWS) that provided public and private support for the development, manufacturing, and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines. In the next breath, he said he didn’t know if the vaccines were effective, didn’t know how many lives may or may not have been saved by the vaccines, and claims to have pulled funding for mRNA research because they “fail to protect effectively.”
For the record, over one million Americans died from COVID-19 and as many as 19.8 million lives were saved by the mRNA vaccines in one year. Also, for the record, any Nobel Peace Prize would go to the immunologist and the biochemist who made the breakthrough that allowed mRNA to be used for a COVID vaccine. In fact, Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman were jointly awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
So, while Kennedy thinks Trump deserves accolades for OWS, he also thinks the COVID vaccine is, “deadliest vaccine ever made.” (That quote was from 2021.) His convoluted logic has me considering the possibility that his brain worm had offspring, and they are still eating and defecating in his head.
Under further questioning Kennedy stated that “everybody can get the vaccine.” He was then reminded that his policies have caused so much confusion that those vaccines are no longer readily available to many Americans. Doctors may be forced to issue prescriptions “off label” making the whole process costly and burdensome.
Currently, CVS has completely stopped offering shots in Massachusetts, Nevada and New Mexico. States with restricted access include Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Walgreens has followed a similar pattern. So, sixteen states have additional restrictions on who can get the vaccine while Kennedy is saying that, at least in his drug fogged and worm-eaten brain, nothing has changed, and the vaccines are available to everyone. Back on planet Earth where real people live, things are getting worse.
Gone are the doctors who follow science, and they are being replaced by people who have earned their livings giving testimony against drug companies in lawsuits. No conflict of interest here. For Trump, RFK Jr. provides a much needed diversion from his Jeffrey Epstein juggling act. If we are talking about this buffoon, we aren’t talking about things he wants to go away.
